I've read that it messes with logging
on to other ISP's.

I have a client that uses AOL 5.0 and
logs on using a local provider. There
hasn't been a problem.

Billy,

Go to keyword (up in right hand corner), and type in aol 5.0. There you will find a list along with the system requirements, etc.

Hope this helps.

PS - I had problems after installing 5.0, so I uninstalled it, but still have some problems regardless. We use AOL because we do a lot of international travel, so there are some benefits to using it. We left 4.0 on the laptop and have no problems, but on this PC...well...that's another story. =)

I used 4.0 with no problemo, but now I just go to the Netmail site to get updates. If you are having problems, and have a regular ISP as well, go to AOL.com to get your mail.

Followed a link to the article, from a post here on 02-02-00. The story came from the Washington Post. Link www.washingtonpost.com. Tried to cut and paste, no luck. Hope this helps.
