OT? Juno

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Ok, guys I am a relative newbie. Been here around two months. Became aware of Y2K in April of '97. Went about my work. And yeah, I thought it would be the catalyst for the meltdown of 'modern' society. And I think it will still be. Don't give a damn what pollyanna says. That big fat, ugly, gross, mustached, diseased 'lady' ain't sang yet.

I SWEAR this ain't a troll. And maybe it is nothing and has always happened. But, why did Juno send me 4.0 one week and then send me 3.0 the next week? This happened about two weeks ago. Can't get an answer from them. These are two different CDs.

I am sure I will hear a neat explanation for which I will be grateful.

Funny You should mention Juno.I was able to download Juno Web absolutely FREE,no charge,no Fee.Now they keep sending me Ads to join them for $8.95,a Month.Other than that,is is by far the easiest and best Service among the three other free ones I have.

Hi, Kyle,

I'm sorry for invading your Juno thread, but I posted a response to you a couple of days ago on the Popeye thread regarding acorns; you didn't come back to it; did you know you can find it under "New Answers"? Or maybe you just lost interest...

Eve, you are not invading the thread. I thought at first you were maybe a troll. Maybe they think I am. Who knows? And to be honest I was being a little sarcastic, even though I told the truth about the acorns. I really do have Korean Sawtooth oaks. And, except for last year, they loaded the ground with acorns. But, not enough squirrels here to eat them. They are very similar to chestnuts. I have eaten a few, and they are not as bitter as other acorns. OK...I know the other guys are LTAO.

Eve, maybe we should get our own chat room...I totally disagree with you on beliefs. But,.....shut up you guys!!!....I like her.

Happy, I got a disc in the mail. 4.0 version. I downloaded it and got the service for 9.95. Cheaper than AOL's 21.95 and appears to be better so far. Thanks much for your comments.

Forme, the ads on Juno are so easy to ignore..click twice and they are gone. Small price to pay.

Juno so far is good looking and not nearly as UGLY as AOL.

Kyle,

You totally disagree with me on beliefs? Music to my ears! Come on over to "The Great Deception..." thread, and let's talk about 'em! And, you know, sometimes that thread gets close to being almost kinda sorta like a chatroom -- in a way.

And while you're downloading that thread, you can run around the block, take a nap and be fit and well rested for some pretty cool fisticuffs...civil fisticuffs, of course...

Why, it's the Popster!

Hey, Kyle, you don't mind if I invite Popeye in for a minute, do ya? Anyway, Pops, good to see ya -- but you know, every time you laugh I worry about you, because I'm not really sure if it's your laugh or you're choking on your spinach. I mean, I'm almost certain it's the former, but if it's the latter, does anyone know how to do a virtual Heimlich Maneuver? :)
