Hi...

Did any body had any experience with Kalimar lense ? I just saw in E-Bay that someone put in an auction for Kalimar 800-1200mm for about $170. Is it worthed that price ?

No. From their website:

...it looks like garbage. But, that has not stopped people before.

May I suggest a more reasonable option: the prime lens in a 50mm focal length. It is the most versitile lens you will ever own, will be tack sharp compared to most other zooms, especially the one above, and work quickly in all lighting situations.

More than likely not you should look at www.photo.net and search the archives ..

Buy either a canon lens or a good after market and dont buy on ebay you dont know what youll get in lens quilty and once you got it Your SCREWED..

buy from a repitable company the only thing good ive used by kalimer is there afz flash which is really power ful other than that my cheap freinds have a bunch of junk..
