How can this be? It isn't yet 10:35pm Pacific Standard time. Could this have been at 9:35pm? It is now 10:10PST right now.

Earth to formerly... Earth to formerly... come in formerly. It is now 11:15 PST.

Oooops, is there egg on my face. I am Mountain Time zone, and I didn't change my watch to this time zone. Got confused, sorry!

-- (formerly@nowhere.zzz), February 06, 2000.

Lol! Formerly, I take it you don't live there and are just visiting I hope! Either that or you haven't used your watch in a while. :-)

Mike, you still there? Is your power still on, or did we lose ya? Let us know if you have any more details, like what the hell those blue flashes were. Another refinery explosion, meteors...?

Head for the bunkers. It's finally starting. Cyber-hacking terrorists,TPTB,embedded thingies have crashed Gary South's site. I'm getting real scared here.

Yes, Hawk I am in the middle of nowhere. Beth, here have some chamomile tea with honey and I'll take the flashlight outside and try to scare those skunks away who are scaring the chickens. Don't worry it will be alright in the morning......

Blue Flashes: Transformers? When huricane Floyd went through, my neighborhood was in the "over 100mph" wind category, and the blue- green flashes all over town were spectacular. It was the trash-can shaped transformers on the telephone polls. We waited 5 days before power was restored, they had so many to replace!~

Son is in HB. Would appreciate any info. I saw my second stealth fighter fly over the beach at PCH/Seal Point and towards Seal Beach last year while in HB.

I believe HB is one of "THE 120" cities if I remember correctly. Didn't the city "put aside" the so-called sewage problem spilling into the ocean until tourist season was over last fall?

I am concerne

Reckon I'll head for the bathroom and have me one those 'major rolling brownouts'.

-- Fred (y2k@aintjack.net), February 06, 2000.

Fred, just make sure you get rid of all the "Klingons". My cat had some today and I had to yank them off. Yuk!

-- snoozy (snoozy@aol.com), February 06, 2000.

Hate when that happens.

-- Fred (y2k@aintjack.com), February 06, 2000.

Most probably transformers. We've got one a couple of blocks from here that blows regularly for some reason and causes the whole street to go to candlepower. (I suspect squirrels.) Sometimes the second next in line will blow before the power equalizes. You can often see transformers blowing on tornado footage--big blue flashes.

Mike were those big blue flashes followed by the sound of the transformers blowing ?

What is a "THE 120" city please?

-- cin (cinlooo@aol.com), February 06, 2000.

Isn't the 120 cities "thing", the master utilities list from the Navy that Jim Lord exposed to the public last August?

-- mwerks3 (mwerks3@yahoo.com), February 06, 2000.

Huntington, WV is listed as one of 44 cities most likely to have total failure in regards to water and sewage as per the Navy's assessment from Jun,1999. Here is the url (I am link impaired) http://www.jimlord.to/CitiesatRisk.cfm

-- mwerks3 (mwerks3@yahoo.com), February 06, 2000.

The 120 cities are the biggest population centers where the gubmint has trained special forces ready for deployment to take over the town in the event of a "terrorist" incident.

-- Hawk (flyin@high.again), February 06, 2000.

The 120 cities are the biggest population centers, period. And no relationship whatsoever to the Navy report which reflected conditions where Navy, and I believe marine, facilities were located.

I used to live in Huntington Beach. On Larkspur Circle.
