Pretty zany, I know. I always liked this scene for that very reason- Chung's portrayal of future-born, bacchanalian, erotic weirdness is in full effect! I took it to be a device for the amusement of children or blissed-out freaks. Never made the color connection with the nargyles, though... hmmm, interesting...
