The last maples of fall

As the title indicates, these were the last two maples with any color, or any leaves at all for that matter, last Fall.

Minolta X-570 with Vivitar 75-205 @ f/8 and around 1/15 or 1/30, E100VS.

Nice colours and well exposed.

That tree in the forground bothers me. And the image is basically flat: I get no sense of depth -- it could almost have been a studio picture. See these example for what I mean:

(I hope that table comes out OK...)

Admittedly, Phillip had more foliage to work with...
