2000-02-04 10:39:47 EST ***CLARK SUFFERS ANOTHER REFINERY OUTAGE Midwest trading sources tell OPIS that a Wednesday evening power outage at Clark's 165,000 b/d Lima, Ohio refinery has basically shut down plant operations. A Clark spokeswoman said that all units are presently idle and will most likely not be back up to full production until the weekend. The refinery was just coming back from a series of unplanned maintenance that involved a 55,000 b/d reformer and a 36,000 FCC unit when the outage occurred. That event had Midwest spot markets humming yesterday with distillate prices jumping 3 to 5cts in the Group and Chicago markets. - Mark Mahoney - mmahoney@opisnet.com
