When I try to load the Netscape Navigator page I just get the headers and a grey page - will go to TB2000, but not to another page from there. Refreshing does nothing nor does going to Netscape page. Is this my computer or a problem others are having..thanks.

How old is your Netscape? I'm using 4.7 and it does well in 99% of sites. D/l'd it about a month or so ago.

Don't give us much to work with here with that description. I tried Netscape 2.0, 3.01, 4.03 and 4.7 [Note to myself; delete some stuff and you will have more room]. All of them worked normally.

Looks like there's yet another Internet problem. ATTGlobal.net has lost some services but they don't seem to be aware of it yet. I'm guessing it's like the problem last Friday where some ISP's had problems and others didn't.

I am working on the Feb 1 WRP (I'm waiting for a piece from an author.)

Using Netscape 4.7 for the last month - no problems - tonight it will not load completly. Just the "View", "Bookmarks" etc on the toolbar and when I click on e.g. TB2000 it takes me there, but I cannot click on a post and show it. Same with other sites. It just seems like it has not finished loading - my HomePage is worldnetdaily.com and it does not show anything just a blank grey screen. IE5.01 works just fine. Really odd.

Stand down all!! - the war is over - I just rebooted and it is fine. I should have done that in the first place, but it worked all day and then suddenly went haywire. The techs all tell me that rebooting solves everything....hey, no wonder we had no problems with CDC - they were right! eh??

Laurane, sometimes, if I have been on the computer for several hours, especially doing graphics, and getting on the net for a bit, etc, Windoze uses up "resources". (You are using windows, right?)

You can check this after a major session by going to "my computer", "help" on the upper menu bar, and then "about windows 98"...it should tell you: "system resources XX% free". In a class I went to, the instructor told us that resources under about 65-70% would slow down or halt applications.

Not an expert by any means, but this little tip has helped me quite a bit.

PS...and that's why re-booting helps...it frees up all those "resources" formerly being used, as I have understood it.

Use Internet Explorer......better browser and a whole lot easier to develop sites for.....Netscrape is basically stupid and demands perfection.....IE on the other hand is a more intelligent browser and can parse code that is less than perfect.

Netscrape caused my system to crash many times while doing web development.....couldn't even use Ctl, Alt, Del to get out of it......has to just turn off the power. I've never had those types of problems with IE.

Internet Exploder bites the weenie, I've used IE 3/4/5 and Netscape 2/3/4, just went BACK to 4.08 on my win98se system. No problems at all and its much more streamlined than the hog-ware that microslop pushs on everyone.

I get very frustrated using IE 5.0 (and the previous 4.0) because whenever I read any text on a page it does not load properly - I lose parts of the text and have to highlight and click on the left mouse to be able to read it. The when I move the mouse, I lose the text again....just gets on my nerves. Is this a buffer problem - maybe I need more RAM - only have 32 meg. That is why I read TB2000 in Netscape or any other forum.
