Notice Type: Critical Posted Date/Time: 02/01/2000 06:32p Notice Effective Date/Time: 02/01/2000 06:32p Notice End Date/Time: 05/01/2000 12:00a Subject: System Warning

February 01, 2000 Current load forecasts are predicting peak deliveries during Wednesday and Thursday of this week. As a result, Texas Eastern (TETCO) is recommending the following: 1. Customers take deliveries as uniformly as possible to mitigate the need to take additional restrictive actions, 2. Shippers ensure that supplies match physical deliveries, and 3. OBA parties ensure that physical activity matches scheduled activity. Other restrictions currently in place are as follows: 1. No Due Shipper Makeup gas until further notice. 2. Zones STX and ETX are scheduled at capacity for the 2nd. Approximately 70 % of preferential was cut exiting these zones. No additional increases will be allowed for Transportation exiting either STX (service point 79501) or ETX (service point 79502) for the 2nd. In addition, resourcing of cut volumes cannot occur in any other part of the access area or on M1-24". 3. Leidy Line is scheduled at capacity. No additional increases will be accepted for Transportation sourced on the Leidy line between Leidy and Perulack for the 2nd. Please contact your Operations Account Manager with further questions.

Pliney the Younger posted a firsthand tester's response to the DD Reed aka 1stlight crosspost, etc. from Yourdon to Downstreamer's board. It was material from his own experiecne in testing embedded's, and I do recall seeing it here at some point, probably last year. VERY worthwile reading, on the buffering of eros in embedded systems.

Squirel hunter- my embedded systems don't "buffer eros" very well. THey tend to enhance it.

I'm SURE you meant "Buffering Zeros".

Nah,

February 2, 2000 Due to a mechanical failure of a compressor unit at DELMONT (DEL) Station Texas Eastern (TETCO) system capacities have been reduced. Repairs are underway and the unit is expected to be online later today. Until such time and through tomorrow, in order to allow low operating pressures to return to normal TETCO requests the following: - All customers continue to take gas on a 1/24th rateable basis - no taking of Due Shipper gas - no secondary sourced on the Leidy line to flow through the LEIDY (LDY) Node for delivery elsewhere on the system. Please contact your Operations Account Manager if you have any questions.

Question -- If the compressor station has been repaired, why is it going to take days for system operations to "improve".

Question 2 -- Is "effectuated" really a word?

February 3, 2000 Repairs have been effectuated at the compressor unit at DELMONT (DEL) Station. System operations are expected to improve over the course of the next few days. As a result, the following requests and/or restrictions are cancelled: - Request that customers take on a 1/24th rateable basis is lifted - Services other than primary sourced on the Leidy Line to flow through the LEIDY (LDY) Node for delivery elsewhere on the system can be accepted on a limited basis. Nevertheless, restrictions still in effect are: - No taking of Due Shipper gas - No Interrutible sourced upstream of Market Zone 3 for delivery into Market Zone 3. Please contact your Operations Account Manager if you have any questions.
