I thought Zippergate, Travelgate, Chinese Fund Raisingate, Vince Fostergate, etc. etc, etcgate would be THE biggest scandals, but as long as the economy is going well they weren't!

We live in strange and wonderfully interesting times, where our supposed 'leaders' routinely do traitorous acts and care not a damn about ordinary citizens. Collosal arrogance, greed and lack of decency characterize the ruling elite within the capital beltway. They are truly a sorry bunch.

Hate to stir the ashes on this one...but....

I went back and reviewed that whole definition of 'is' mess. While it makes for a great tagline, there was actually quite a bit of meaning being attached to whether the question was in reference to something ongoing.....

Yet, the Repubs saw a great tagline and grabbed it. Both parties are more than guilty of doing that -- "Read my lips!"

Symp, I thought the "is" argument in isolation sounded logical. What stunk to me though was that it was like Ted Bundy getting off on a technicality. It seemed like a distraction from the point.
