O.T. Minuscule (one itty bitty) Banking Glitch

Finally have a first hand "glitch" to report, maybe nothing, but sure is different. Today, I went to my Credit Union ATM for cash. I pushed the button for "fast Cash of $50.00". And, true to it's written word, the machine dispensed two funny money twenties, and one real ten = $50.00. Then the receipt printed, I looked at it, said "$40.00 withdrawn". I looked at it five times, still said $40.00 every time, I had $50.00 in hand. How will the Credit Union reconcile this glitch? Now, I did have the urge to keep going back, it is late now... I only have to out on warm robe, slippers, and head out to....

ATMs often jam, particularly when dispensing receipts. You've probably taken the ticket for an earlier transaction. Check that the receipt has your account number on it.

Same thing happened to me. NationsBank. RIGHT account number, $50 out, $40 on receipt. Around first week in January. Been afraid to reconcile the account. Afraid they got the $10 back and I did not win after all. :-)
