Bill, If you have a way to get to the sport discus literature search at a library you put in the key words athletic injury and rehabilitation. There are a lot of articles on this subject. I am actually doing my masters thesis on this topic and social support, goal-setting, and imagery are three great techniques for injured ahtletes. there is a really good book by John Heil titled Psychology of Sport Injury. Some names would be Lampton and Lambert, Nideffer, Petrie,and Wiese & Weiss. Any questions please e-mail me. Mandy
