Bradley: Gulf states should boost oil production

Sunday, 30 January 2000 14:48 (ET)

WASHINGTON, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Democratic presidential candidate Bill Bradley said Sunday that the United States should lobby its allies in the Persian Gulf to increase oil production in order to soften petroleum prices in the U.S. Speaking on ABC television's "This Week" program, Bradley said the U.S. should release oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, and tell Kuwait and Saudi Arabia that they should increase production to relieve tight supplies caused by OPEC's recent production cuts.

Don't you think they all know the truth and are just outright lying to keep the public from getting panicky and selling stocks? Can they really be that totally stupid? My vote is for deceitful liar.

I would also ask for health care for all and also require the massive investments that guarentee cutting edge innovations, why we are at it why not increase the money to senior citizens even those who are wealthy, also ask the men and women in the defense of this country to do it with less resources, personnel, training and equipment let's also ask for government control of elections and believe they will be fair and impartial, we can then provide government money to destroy families and then create a crisis and have the government take over the care of our children.

Oh wait never mind they are already doing this.

Quick, where is my Bradley Dunce Cap?

My answer would be more succinct and knowledgable: "First I'd bomb the fuck out of the Persian Gulf, friends and foes alike. Then I'd bomb the fuck out of China just because they suck. Then I'd bomb anybody in the US who argued the point with me. I'm not a violent man, but don't fuck with me."

Paul,
I think Bradley is just trying to be a good politician, and tell people what they "want to hear". There is no need to use language like this, or at the least use asterisks if you must swear.

Give me one good reason (other than if they need more money) why the mideast nations should do anything that doesn't improve their status? Why should they produce cheap oil for the US. We sure wouldn't do it for them. I think they are finally seeing that they control the strings and that we are the puppet, not them. And we have no one to blame but ourselves. We could, by this time, be totally independent upon their oil. But as always, greed runs the show. Well...now that the prices are up, maybe this country will get off its keester and start doing some innovative alternative energy things. The whole damn country is run on money...nothing else matters. Human life comes in so far behind, that you can't even see it coming over the hill.

Taz....who thinks the whole damn gubmint should be taken out and shot and we start over with some serious revisions to constitution and to the laws of this country. A single term of 6 years for President and two terms for congress would be a good start.
