What is a tyrolian traverse?

I have seen the term : tyrolian traverse, a couple of times. What does it mean?

Tyrolian traverse refers to crossing a horizontal span of rope that cross a gap, as between two pinnacles.

It involves one, or two, pretentioned high-lines used to cross a river, gorge, anything you can't walk across. In addition to the tentioned high lines, you have a rope that call pull the load on the high line across the traverse in either direction. Here's a picture of a setup i did with my High Angle Rescue Team this year.
