Why do they always trash the McDonalds? I mean if a messy burger is the ultimate symbol of American corporate greed, we have a serious P R problem.

Gia, I remember the Seattle MickeyDee's attack followed the speech of a French activist. France banned certain beef imports due to I believe Mad Cow disease, then the WTO as a global org revoked the French ban and had the imports resumed. The French protested the loss of their national sovereignty (their ability to institute their own laws) and attacked a MickeyDee for accepting foreign imports of the beef. My memory is a bit foggy, there may have been other countries involved? I just remember this as the jist, and so the targeting of MickeyDees has become a unified statement.
