Clinton's Speech

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Just saw the state of union address. These things I'm sure of:

1. He's the best politician I've ever seen/heard.

2. He's so fortunate in the quality and personality of his enemies.

3. A minority of people in this country hate his guts.

4. A majority of people in the world can't understand the thinking of a minority of people in this country.

hey, jeanne -you for got one! He'd make a snake-oil saleman blush!

jeanne,

I agree...and therein lies the tragedy. About 80% of the proposals could have been passed, and yet their (Clintons') "style" of governance probably dooms it to failure. If you are seriously interested in what has happened and the opportunities squandered by the rule or ruin tactics, I recommend a book by a Leftist, Roger Morris "Partners in Power: The Clinton's and Their America" now in paperback.

Hint...the seeds of destruction were sewn in Arkansas...the Administration was Dead on Arrival. And Whitewater is almost trivial in context.

No need to apologize Jeane. I think this subject might end up requiring more than two threads. The other one is 23 responses long last I saw.

Roger Morris....is that the guy that used to work for Clinton? The one that got caught with a hooker? The name seems to ring a bell but I can't really remember. As I recall, George Stephonolophis(sp) also wrote a less than flattering account of the President.

Clinton's "Stain of the Union Dress"

Nuff said.

Jeane, you are thinking of Dick Morris. You can see him on Fox News, once in a while, now going at Klinton. He wrote a book also, unless the poster got the name wrong and it is the same guy. He challenges Klinton to show him where he lied in the book. And, of course Klinton cant.
