Lots happening this week. Here are the major points:

* Skyrocketing oil prices Oil keeps going up, up, up! And nobody sees the end in sight. Rising oil prices, as you know, eventually inflate product prices. Air tickets are already going up thanks to the price surge. This gives Greenspan even more reason to raise rates on Feb. 2.

* Major snowstorm kills people, leaves 200,000 without power For all those who didn't prepare for Y2K and got hit by the surprise snowstorm that clobbered Eastern United States, they're learning an important lesson in preparedness. For some, though, it's too late: there have been several fatalities directly related to non-preparedness. For those who were ready for Y2K, though, surviving the snowstorm was a cinch.

* Stock market readies for Fed action next week Everyone's talking about the Fed decision next week: will they raise rates a quarter point? Or a half point? Like outcomes:

No rate raise = stock market surge Quarter point = business as usual for now, bubble still breaks down the road Half point = bubble might just start popping right now

The Fed knows this, of course, so expect a quarter-point raise. Anything higher means the Fed is downright panicked.

* WACO: Remember when all those tobacco company executives stood before Congress and swore that nicotine wasn't addictive? Federal law enforcement officers have just repeated a similar theatrical lie this week by insisting that the film showing fully-automatic machine gunfire from federal is, they say, "glint."

Let's set a few things straight here:

Point #1) Your government is lying to you about Waco.

Point #2) The fact that the government is lying is easily provable.

Point #4) FLIR cameras pick up HEAT, not light. Objects do not glint "heat."

Point #5) Over a dozen people in the Waco compound (women and children included) were killed by gunshots. Your government is insisting that they all just shot each other.

Point #6) The Department of Justice is the primary promoter of the "no shots fired" B.S. theory. Why? Because the department is run by outright criminals engaged in one massive political cover-up after another. Let's just say this as bluntly as we can: Reno is a federal criminal. She belongs behind bars, not behind a White House desk.

Hi Roofer,

one small tech point, objects can glint 'heat' (infra-red light). The only Infra-red light source at the time (strong enough to cause the reflection) was the church building burning, this was not at the proper angle to reflect(glint) the images on the film. You were right, just not for the stated reason.

---and ain't it STRANGE, that the BATF agents shot when they went in that upstairs window were all coincidently the SAME doods who were the kings royal palace guard back in ark-kansas-saw, and just might have been privy to a little insider info that mighthave come out in...say...impeachment hearings? Do not think about Y2K. Think about Wacko. Worry about martial law. Fear gun control. After all, all of Klinton's close friends are now dead, right? Hillary killed Vince Foster. The government is spraying tonight, soemwhere, I am sure. Everyone can see it, thousands must be involved, billions spent, but no one can testify - TPTB control is absolute.

Do not concern yourself about Y2K. Do not worry about the price of gasoline, heating oil, kerosene, natural gas, propane, oil, or everthing made therefrom or transported thereby. Do not worry that two of three nuclear plants owned by the giant Sothern Company are Scrammed or at 57% power - Alabama and Georgia under the gun with more ice approaching - 18% of Alabama's total usage TU. Heard one was broken up about Waco cause he didn't know the kids were exposed to nerve gas, he thought they could run from the fire? who knows.
