No justices to attend Clinton speech

WASHINGTON, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- For the first time in recent memory, no Supreme Court justices will attend a State of the Union address. In a short message to the House of Representatives, the Supreme Court said, "Justices of the court had planned to attend the State of the Union Address (Thursday night), but travel changes and minor illnesses have intervened. No justices will be in attendance, but they do thank you for the invitation to be present for the address."

Err....anyone want to check to see how many SC justices usually go to the SOTU Address? Usually not more than 1 or 2, and you may notice that they never clap or stand up.

The reason for that is it implies BIAS and FAVORITISM. They are JUDGES. Think about it.

Just a note: Last year, several Republicans were no shows at the State of the Union speech. Didn't you notice the empty seats when the camera panned the House chambers? Of course you didn't. The Democrats have people lined up (former congressmen, etc.) that are allowed to go in and fill the seats left empty.

Boycotting the State of the Union speech would not be noticed at all. Those in political power have their bases covered.

Since President Clinton has a history of announcing his forthcoming unlawful "initiatives," (programs unauthorized by Congress, implemenmted administratively by just publishing in the federal register,) I think I will watch. Several past announcements have included the "Heritage Rivers" and CWAP (Clean Water Action Plan.) Since Clinton is currently forming up his "legacy" by shutting off large chunks of federally managed lands from human access and use, I imagine more will be revealed in the SoU speech.
