who is dr. nichols? he occupies a train of inductions, revealed in the mind of the narrator by M. dupin, leading to a single thought about Chantilly. his name is in the summary of the vicissitudes of the narrator's thought, but not in the explanation. he is an unexplained island and i don't know who he is. does Sir thoman brown discuss some such character in the "urn burial"? who can help?
