Why no comment on this-pro or con? If correct it shows problems in January alone almost as many as in all of 1999. Where did she get all the reports for previous years???

Kyle, thanks for bringing this thread "to the top." I had skipped it originally, probably due to its unassuming title.

Having just returned from that oil failures site, I find it unsatisfying. It's the usual trouble with statistics; unless one knows what they're actually counting and how they're derived, statistics are not terribly enlightening. Contrast that with the concrete reports and failure summaries posted on this forum.

But I have to at least credit that site for quoting our own Gordon Gecko.
