May be due to metal rail on track. However, why is source Xinhua English Newswire carrying this story and other wire services apparently ignoring it?

A four-car Amtrak train carrying 168 passengers slipped off the track Sunday night northwest of Toronto, injuring at least two people, the local press said in a report Monday.

A wheel on the last car slipped off the track while the train was traveling on a Via Rail Line. The police are investigating to determine whether a metal bar placed on the track may have been the cause of the derailment, the report said.

"Two people complained of minor injuries, possibly back injuries, and were taken to hospital," a police officer said.

The passengers were put on buses to their final destinations after the derailment, which was the latest in a series of Canadian railway mishaps over the last nine months, the report said.

No doubt government agents are roughing up Peter Jennings as we speak to prevent him from leading off World News with this story.....

I think this is an old story i.e. at least 1 week and possibly 2 weeks old.

I remember hearing it on the local radio and it was *not* yesterday (Monday).
