soundtrack to my life

"close your eyes and I'll kiss you, tomorrow I'll miss you, remember I'll always be true...." - cause my mum* sang it to me as a lullabye. notice how a LOT of our mums sang us beatles/john lennon songs as lullabyes?! cool*

Unplugged and More (a Sarah McLachlan boot)/Elsewhere - this CD/song has gotten me through the best of times and the worst of times :)

MO1/Sullivan St/Anna/Rain King - some of these songs have special moments attached, and the others are my very first and favorite songs (aww sentimental reasons!)

Shot By Lammi/Good Luck/Big D singles EP - my ska* music :) one of my guilty pleasures, im head-over-heels for this *boston* Ska band. Ive had great times at their shows over the last 2 years, and met a lot of cool kids*

remember that Barbara Stresiand/Celine Dion song from like, 2 years ago? it was in some movie?! well, that song too. My younger (only by a year, lol) friends and I used to sit around and sing it to each other, lol*....some of my best moments ;)

Electric Youth - I lived and breathed Debbie Gibson in elementary school!

Any Doowop/Top 40 song from the 50s/60s - my dad is the doowop KING supreme, and its all we listened to every year on our way to the jersey shore :)

rock a bye baby (alt versions - rock a bye kitty, rock a bye keeshond, rock a bye jilly, etc etc) - another lullabye, but usually sung by poppa*

thats all for now. maybe ill add more later! good question erin***

Mmkay, I think I'm too young to answer this, but I'll take a stab at it cuz I don't really have anything better to do at the moment...

Charlie Daniels - no specific songs, but my dad used to listen to it a lot when I was little

Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin - mommy taught me to love this song

perfect blue buildings - counting crows - the first song I fell in love with by CC

Little Wing - Stevie Ray Vaughan's cover of hendrix - song I fell in love with after I learned from my mom what a great guitarist sounds like

Push - Matchbox 20 - used to listen to it when I got angry with parents

Truth - Joe 90 - do I really have to explain this one? =)

that's all I can think of for now... I'll probably think of more at 4:30AM when I can't sleep.. you know how that works I'm sure =)

tah tah for now,

-AJ

P.S. all you AOL people have to buddy me cuz my AIM buddy list is really pathetic - oblivion33333333... not an order, just pleading =)

i forgot purple rain :x that would be on my soundtrack. yup. and beetlebum

hee jill. my mom tended to sing me only the paul beatles songs. shes a paul fan. it was funny in liverpool we'd be at like, johns old house and i was in TEARS (that was when i fell for john!) because her friend was really good at telling stories about him, and my mom was like 'awww...can we go to pauls house now!?' - i inherited my fandom from my mom. shes going to follow pauls next tour. hahahaha. in london she was like 'i touched pauls house! i touched abbey road!' it was so funny i wanted to kill her. hahahahaha. ok that was my random 'my mom is a fanatic' story :x

people keep offering to buy my car. its so weird to me. i'm just not into discussing my car, i like it. but who cares what year it is! ugh.

my mom was a george fan.

i just want to reiterate that push is such a great song. that is one of my most favorite songs EVER. i can listen to it a hundred times over and never get tired of it. matchbox 20 is a great live band, too.

they put a kid on the front page of one of the little city papers today that was expelled from school because he planted a bomb threat in the boy's bathroom. how's that for irony?!

buhbye peoples*

george? really? thats random. that was my grandmothers favorite. :] i'm such a john girl. i have a silver ring that says 'imagine' on it that i wear everday. its like such a symbolic thing for me, as cheesy as it may seem to wear it. but it is. it like, inspires me. haha. ill shut up.

but EXCITING NEWS! im not sitting out singing with the bums in san francisco! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! i have a ticket at will call. GO ME. woo (hugsandkissesthankyousomuch!) yay!!

but wouldnt it have been kinda funny if i really WOULDVE sat outside with the bums?

people are people! erin dolll<-who counts in large amounts

hi jenn* :]

-- erin*89 (feelingtornados@aol.com), January 27, 2000.

i am SO glad erin got a ticket! now i won't have to worry about her sitting outside with the bums!

random fact number two - my mum and her friend entered this contest when they were in the beatles-obsessed-stage (even though she denies it) where they had to draw each of the beatles. whoever drew them the best, had their drawings professionally printed and sold or whatever......my mum has the prints of the drawings that won, packed away in our basement somewhere. she showed me them a few years ago. t'was very cool :)

my brother had his ultrasound today on his kidney....he doesnt have a tumor!! YAY!!!! but he DOES have a blockage in his kidney. he is going for one of those dye test tomorrow, then going to a urologist. they are 90% sure its just a kidney stone, because of the calcium levels and stuff. so he will be ok. and i am SO relieved*

have a nice night everyone!
