Icy-bms? I think the verdict from Spain was no. Ice meteorites? Comet drool? Possible, but it would have to be a heck of a chunk of ice to make it through the atmosphere without vaporizing. My totally uneducated guess would be some kind of monster hail - just another of the string of strange weather happenings lately, like the killer storms in Europe, and record-breaking blizzard on the East Coast. Global superstorm precursor? Who knows?
