I live in Ghana and trade in rebusta coffee. I think it is better to import raw cofffee to process to derive maximum benifit for your investment.

The best thing is to import green coffee which you can store for long periods of time while you look for market, there are roasters willing to roast coffee and package it for you at about 1 dollar a pound importing processed coffee is not advisable because roasted coffee does not store for long.

I am also beginning a coffee import company. I have connections in Brazil and Peru for coffee. I have done all my necessary homework to export the coffee from both, however, I was told I need a coffee broker in New York to bring coffee to the States. Does anyone know if this is correct? Please reply to my email. address if you can. TY
