It cost me $2.10 MORE to fill up my van today

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

By next month, if it goes up only $0.07 per week, I will not be able to drive it except for necessities. We will all have to cram into the Escort(which gets almost 40mpg). We have been doing that more and more often. Of course, we'll survive but it is an inconvenience

Koskinin said it would be just an inconvenience.

not to downplay your extra expense, but in some countries, citizens pay more than $2.10(per liter) for gasoline.

In some countries they eat cockroaches.

So what was your point?

my point was to inspire the poster to examine his extra expense from a global standpoint, rather than in a isolated fashion.

I thought we were discussing the RISE in prices, among other things, not the fact that some pay more in other countries. I thought we had beat that dead horse already. And notice I said it was an inconvenience, with a workable solution for our family. Get a life!

Hey Eddie, I repeat -- what's your point?

(No, whining about "global standpoints" doesn't count.)
