In an effort to answear you question sir. Hanford produces commercial electricty; but there is/was another generation station that is/was called FFTF (Fast Flux Testing Facuality) Which is essence tested equipment for nuclear power generation stations..Hanford is also the repository of nuclear waste (in the ground, in barrels and cover up type of storage). It is known that the storage site licquid radioactive waste is miagrating off site and towards the Columbia River( from past media news reports).

Hanford is in Eastern Washington state, near the Columbia river, which separates Oregon and Washington. Major development and recreation on the Columbia, one of the largest rivers in the world.

Thank you Shakey, Phil and Dennis. Sir is a her but I am definately interested in Nuclear reports of any kind since I live in the center of 4 of them. My boyfriend worked at one of them for 44 months and he helps me understand reactors and how they work. He also told me that fish do die because of the coldness of water released from them so that helps me keep this in perspective. Off to learn more.. still alert
