Hyatt's discussion droup is completely revamped

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I just wanted to let you know that we have completely revamped my discussion group. We have broadened the focus from Y2K to Self-reliant Living. We also have a place to discuss various threats, including government, biological and chemical warfare, Y2K, the economy, infrastructure failures, personal disruptions, violence, terrorism, and war, and even the weather. Hope you all will come visit.

Self Reliant? Don't you mean Self Deluded?

-- Forget It (AndyKaufman@heaven.com), January 23, 2000.

One has to wear a mental straight jacket to be a poster on your forum, Michael. You have thought-police (a.k.a. sysops like Dorrit) who limit threads to those in agreement with their personal views. That's why so many good people quit posting on your forum.

Despite the trolls and pollys here on TB2000, one is at liberty to have an off-topic if he wishes, so I'll pass, thankyou.

Michael, thanks for the invite, have bookmarked your site.

What the hell is he selling now?

-- I (i@i.i), January 23, 2000.

Dorrit has resigned. FYI.

Thanks Michael, sounds like a great idea!

Thanks, Michael. I took a look at the site, and the choice of topics for the various forums appears to be pertinent and useful. Thank you for your service to those of use who share those concerns. For those who don't, there are other forums. And for those who are offended by overzealous sysops, well, I've always found I learn more by listening and asking questions than by spouting off my own views, so I never seem to notice sysops getting in my way.

Thanks Michael, please post here anytime. Don't let the fools bother you.Fools they are indeed. I appreciate all you've done. Your last book was excellent. So many families with kids now are ready for ice storms, earthquakes, etc. thanks to you and folks like you. No matter what happens with embeddeds and oil, it was good to prepare. God bless!

That other member of the thought police, Riverwn, has also resigned, or so I understand.

I've made two posts on the new board so far without being banned, which for me is something of a record!

Thanks Michael. I've been searching for another forum where the flames are lower and there is more Christian discussion about world events. Thank you for your efforts.

Geez, Richard, after Michaels invitation to return, your sugar sweet words may induce me to do just that!---Just to make sure you post correctly, LOL... Never thought of myself as a thought police--But I DO have a thing about letting mentally deficient rantings continue forever... you know the best thing about not being a moderator.. I dont have to be nice to morons like YOU anymore! hehee... Darlin Richard, you made my day!
