Stevan--the Southern never had any smoothside cars in this paint scheme, ConCor just thought they'd sell a bunch painted like that. They are based on the original Crescent consist from the late 1920's- early 1930's which were all heavyweight cars pulled by PS4 Pacifics. Rivarossi makes a PS4 model in that scheme.

Sorry, but the locomotive they make isn't a PS-4. It a USRA heavy 4-6-2, the type the PS-4's were based on. The paint is correct for a crescent locomotive but the smokebox should be silver, not black. However it resimbles one of the first bach of PS-4's, they didn't have the water heater in the smokebox and where deliverd (before 1926) painted black and gold pinstripes. Evan =)
