R.C. - What is Truth

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

RC,

I think your posts have cut too close to the bone. You are close to exposing the smoking gun that ties the current oil crisis to Y2K. Since Y2K has been dubbed a non-event and is "unofficially declared as over" TPTB can not have someone expose their lying, cowardly and cavalier treatement of the American people and the world. Lives ARE involved. And the crisis appears to be worsening.

Connecting some dots:

1. Many Y2K websites have been hacked by people or organizations with SERIOUS equipment capabilities. It appears that Powers are targeting individuals such as yourself, Gary North, Hyatt, Drudge and others because these Powers cannot allow the Truth be Told.

2. Even with Y2K over by their standards, the trolls are still here belittling and taunting - I think to make sure that no newcomers are persuaded to take Y2K seriously and to discredit Y2K as a topic for analysis and discussion. They revel when frequent posters like King of Spain leave this forum.

3. LadyLogic has posted on an Internet law site querying lawyers if any have taken suits against Y2K preparedness proponents. "Her" only purpose appears to be one of disruption. If Y2K was a non-issue why would disruption be important. IF Y2K was a non-issue, it would die for lack of interest without help from the trolls. See:http://lawlounge.com/bbs3/messages/395.html LL posted as "LadyLight" but left her trademark rose!

4. At rollover our national "news media" gave us a well planned and choreographed entertainment with great glitz and glamor and passed it off as news. I have seen little mention of the CNN Karachi Pakistan segement that immediately pulled the video and left a voice only with a still graphic that stated "The gun shots you hear are from partiers celebrating the New Year and the reports of mass exodus from Karachi are in reality young teens crowding the highway on their way to celebrations and parties." Give me a break - this was at 12:00 midnight Karachi time and I believe most partiers would already be at their party destination; besides Pakistan is Moslem and this was at the height of Ramadan.

5. Today our national "news media" (and this is in the widest use of the word "news") gives little as to the greatest crisis since when maybe the Viet Nam War? I say this because it appears our current oil crisis will transcend the Gulf War impacts. The "news media" spends many more minutes on one Cuban boy than the national oil crisis causes, severity, duration, response.

6. Banks are tettering on the finacial edge as bubble.com and global debt threatens the system at the core. Trillion dollar derivative exposure is threatened by rising inflation.

7. The global military situation is approaching a crisis of its own with China-Russia alliance and the proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction to nations supporting terrorism - Algeria, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Cuba, and North Korea.

All of the above point to Y2K as a Critical Issue. We are at a critical period of time. Yet we are told that Y2K is over - this flies in the face of all the expert testimony and .gov information including Koskinen's own pre-Y2K statements.

TPTB cannot afford to let the truth be told. I fear they have great power and have focused on you and others to silence you.

RC, Once upon a time I saw I believe your first post on TB 2000 as JOHN WAYNE. John Wayne would not leave the field at the height of battle. So I encouage you to rally and defeat the Trolls with the only thing they can not debase and that is TRUTH.

Please, PLEASE stay and continue to post - you have good sources and your analysis is always enlightening. I may not always agree with you but you are among the few that stimulate creative thought.

We need you RC. Freedom loving people need the Truth.

PS: If any of the above is close to true - I predict this TB2000 will see another more forceful hack attack in an attempt to shut down free discourse on current events. Y2K has become a battle between the forces of deceit and darkness versus the few interested in and aware of the Truth.

I am one of TPTB and I promise no harm will come to you even though all these scary things are happening.

Go on with your life. I will tell the other PTB to stop all the madness. Go with God, Zorro, and sleep well.

Your work here is done; you finally got a post across to one of the Powers, and I listened.

R C Hang in there. You seem to me to be more knowledgable on oil topics than about anyone else who is willing to talk. What you predicted or concluded would probably happen has happened. Don't let the b_stards wear you down. I liked the comment today by the Engineer in Saudia Arabia. He said when you go to work there they give you two buckets. One is for money and the other is for the bulls_it. When one of the buckets gets full enough, you leave the country. There is a lot of bs by the trolls on this forum. Curly and I very much appreciate your efforts and the efforts of the others who try to tell it like it is. The increasing prices prove that you are closer to the truth than most of the posters here.

Heck, Z: don't beg. It' unbecoming.

This is a "virtual" forum. There's no here here, and when you leave, you haven't gone anywhere. RC has provided some of the best post- rollover posts in an area which may be critically important. But -- heck. It's an internet b-board! The virtual roof didn't come down after Flint left, or River Soma, or any of these others. I gather half the original regulars have moved on over the last 6 months makes his own choices. It's just a friggin forum and other fascinating folks will check in to fill R.C.'s shoes, or you can email him or visit his web site.

Personally I hope he reconsiders. He's response to the "outing" of his theological opinions is understandable; but theological speculation is a whole different animal from tracking the oil market - - which he does better than most. Who amongst us doesn't work or deal daily with people whose theology is LIGHT YEARS AWAY from our own? Anyone with sense and a social conscience must prescind (!!!) from these questions when dealing with technological questions anyway. I thought R.C.'s website was fascinating, put I only paged through. No time when I'm here to bother with those more important questions.

It begs mention that, according to a re-post of an e-mail on the Roleigh Martin site, Dr. Leon Kappelman noted that some of the "oil postings" had made their way to the "UN List," (whatever it is), and various persons would be "checking into them." If I recall "RC" was named (not to impugn Dr. Kappelman). A day or two later, RC became the subject of search engines, then later mocked and lamely attacked here on TBY2000.

Whatever your take on Y2K, or your opinion of RC's posts, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this action out.

I'm so lame

you live up to your name

Andy--

Thanks!! I shall switch to the new moniker as of now, as it is MUCH better than the first.

Rather than attacking an individual I would like to see more factual analysis and debate of the issues. RC supported his analysis with some facts, some logic and some opinion (to which we all are entitled). Rather than attacking the messenger, lets look at the facts.

I hope that RC reads this and will post again. I would like to see a moderate like Flint comment on current oil crisis and the possibility of a Y2K connection.

Or perhaps we should forget Y2K and discuss "possible system disruptions of an unspecified origin", but I suppose Y2K will continue for a long while. Surely there will be some lawsuits recently filed or soon to be forthcoming. Sooner or later names will be named.

Dammit, come back!

Please.

We mean it...

RC,

You the man.

RC, If you're still out there: BUNKER OIL.

I think it's been overlooked as people home in on diesel, kerosene and gasoline. They may not use it at home but the power industry sure does along with oceanic shippers.

Any news if thisis an issue along with the more highly refined products?

Harbor guy, I actually liked your posts since 1/1. I think I learned a lot about the shipping industry from you. But you mention Roleigh Martin... I know him personally, and I'm sorry to say that although he's a sorta nice guy, well, he's a flake. Everyone who works with him knows this... We've all discounted his "expertise" on Y2K before turnover and now I hope you won't discount my advice when I say take everything he says with a grain of salt. I'm not kidding about this...

-- Bemused (and_amazed@you.people), January 23, 2000.

Yes, of course you know Roleigh Martin. Why, just the other day when you two were having tea, Leon Kappelman called you on the phone to get clarification on the recipie Paul Milne gave you. Then the Easter Bunny walked in.

No, of course we won't discount your advice, Mr. "Bemused." LOL

-- (hal@gostek.org), January 23, 2000.

Sure. And who are you bemused.......the little nerd that lived next to Roleigh as a kid and who was jealous of everything he did?

-- ?? (notstupidenough@topostmy.com), January 23, 2000.

Funny you should mention "nerd"... When Roleigh used to send my group email at one of my previous employers, he would send it to nerds@xxx.com... That was the mail alias we had set up for ourselves. Of course, it was a term of endearment, and that's how I'll take it here :^)

Ask Rol about that. And call him "rol", that's his email at his employer. Not a big deal, we'll all work with everyone else in this (IT) industry at some point, it's gotten to about a 2 degree of seperation thing with a lot of people.
