The image is pixelated on my screen so judging sharpness is difficult. (The file is only 25K.) I might push the contrast a bit.

Composition is superb.

I like the picture too. Very nice shot, but what is the very light colored object to the right of the bird? It looks too reflective to just be more snow, but that may be the scan.

Tell us how it was scanned and compressed, and maybe somebody can give you some advice on that aspect. It almost looks like it is 16 bit instead of 24, or maybe too much dust/blemish removal was used, but there are also some obvious JPEG artifacts as well.

I think the image is great, but the scan really stinks. Looks like you scanned a print with a surface texture.
