They probably HAVE filed a complaint against me, but I'm not worried. I figure as long as I pay my bill, aol won't give a darn! They MUST know people will just take their money to another provider, and I doubt they would want that.

Besides, I think they probably have their hands full with more important things than spamming. I would imagine that people who threaten over the internet get first priority.

Actually AOL does suspend people's accounts or screen names and does write warnings to them. Some of my friends have teenagers who use their accounts, so I have heard...

Maria is correct. I believe AOL has a 3 strike and you are out policy. I should know, my teen has racked up 2 strikes so far so dont think it cant happen they CAN and they WIll....

I hope they don't TOS her. I would hate to lose the entertainment value. I know I am perverse, but I do browse debunkers a couple of times a day. They don't talk about anything, just try to top each other with insults. Have there ever been any murders through the internet? If not, I think will happen there first.

Mara,

I have a friend who has 3 teenagers in her house. Her son was spamming chat rooms, forum, etc. on AOL when my friend wasn't aware of it. Next thing you know...she lost her service from TOS violations. I think they got 3 warnings. Needless to say, her son is "grounded".

Have another friend in Florida who had the same problem with her teenage daughter, but she was able to catch the TOS warnings before the 3rd one.

aol should nor be used. A class action suit was filed against them as they abuse clients. Use any other service but aol. aol is a corrall for sheep and makes internet use and e-mail very mass-cheap. They cost more than many other better isps
