Restoring book Batiments et Jardins, Exposition des Arts Decoratifs, Paris, 1925

The Art Deco Society of Washington has received a query from Dick van Os-Keuls of Kensington, Maryland. Alas, he does not use the Internet.

He is restoring a large folio book entitled - Batiments et Jardins, Exposition des Arts Decoratifs, Paris, 1925 - that is missing three plates. He would like to have the opportunity to see the plates that are missing and possibly photocopy them. Inquiries to local libraries have not turned up a copy of the book, so he hopes to find one that is privately owned.

Additional information:

If you can help, please contact Mr. van Os-Keuls at 301-946-0808 or fax to 301-946-1112. (Snail-mail address: Robinson Morrow Associates, 10605 Concord Street, Kensington, MD 20895) Please also reply to the bulletin board, if you think your information is worth sharing.

The Oklahoma State University Library in Stillwater, Oklahoma has a copy of this book. I don't know if you have it yet, but you can access the card catalog at www.okstate.edu and go to library.

The New York Public Library has a book with a slightly different title: Bâtiments et jardins; cent planches en héliogravure, avec une introduction et des notices par M. Roux-Spitz. The catalog record can be seen at: http://catnyp.nypl.org/ [search by the title above] You can contact the reproductions department at permissions@nypl.org
