World Oil Reserves at 10 year low according to canadian govt.,this off the 6 o`clock news CKWS Canada.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

This does seem to be an accurate representation of the world oil reserve. This will give us a very accurate gauge of any problems in the oil industry. It will be imposible to hide the shortages if they exist or are developing.

If you're talking about proven world oil reserves then this is just not true. Go to http://jasmin.fsb.hr/OsnoveEnergetike/bpstat/pages/oilres4.htm and take a look at that graph. It only goes through 1997 (the latest i could find). Look at the proven resrves in 1990 and 1997. Do you really think our reserves could have fallen below the 1990 mark?

Next, go to http://www.rigdata.com/loccnts.pdf and look at the statistic for working oil rigs this year compared to last year. You'll see the four week average is much higher this year than last. The more rigs working, more oil pumped, at least in the near to mid term.

CKWS Canada?!?! Canada's a large country ("I have a cousin in Vancouver, you must know her . . ."). Where's CKWS? What network? Gotta link? Sorry to be rude but you've provided a very interesting thread with no support and (unlike some of the people on TB2K), we don't all have 15 hours a day to shot the sh*t.
