i've found that - for important searches - the best search program is Copernic2000. its absolutely awesome. there is a cost for the software, around $30 i believe (i bought mine 2 yrs ago).

copernic uses *many* search engines to do its lookups, which are always saved. if you have a lot of hits, you select 'validate' (or verify?) to have copernic look up each url to make sure it is still valid, rather than you wasting your time doing this (its very fast). when its done doing that, you can choose to automatically delete any of those sites.
