how do you mail something on this forum?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Would one of you techno brains please tell me how to go about mailing a thread on this forum to somebody? Please pretend those books for dummies and idiots are actually written to very competent readers and dumb your answer way down. Thanks. (I do know how to turn the computer on, ha, and get into aol and my hotmail and the internet.) Want to pass on this Venezuela latest before the vultures start hovering in circles over the computer, er, I mean, that is, the kids get home from school.

Are you using internet explorer? If so, go to the top "Mail" icon and click. It will give you the option of sending the page.

Thanks, but no, I am in AOL. And if I click "mail center" there is nothing listed for sending a page.

Lyn,

Go to "Write" mail, then go to the page you want to send and drag the red heart card (up at the right at the top of the page) down to the mail. This will automatically create the hyperlink for you.

If you are on AOL just click on the heart up in the right corner and the window will open for you to send im mail, or in instant message, or to 'Favorite Places". Thats all you have to do. It will make the link and send it. Don't have to drag anything anywhere. Taz
