hello hello!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : It's All About Joe 90: The Discussion Board : One Thread

hey everyone,

i haven't posted on the new message board so i thought i should. :) i'm listening to the cities97.com broadcast of minneapolis... wish they would have broadcasted joe 90's set. grrr.

speaking of joe 90, pittsburg is still up in the air. everyone send good vibes my way. ;)

anyone watch who wants to be a millionaire tonight? i'm hooked on that show now, it's sad. i watch rosie every day and i didn't start watching it until she started talking about how obsessed she is with it. some guy won a million tonight... woo hoo. i actually liked him too. sorry, but they have some weirdos on there. the guy that made his stuffed monkey sing to regis... uhh?

some friends came over on sunday night and we all watched the lost boys. oh how i love that movie!! kiefer sutherland has the most beautiful crystal blue eyes. i have a thing about vampire movies/tv shows, even now. for about two years, i was completely in love with this show called "forever knight" (hence my aol im name, fkfan1228). it was set in toronto (what an incredible city that is). it was about an 800-year old vampire, nick, who was trying to atone for his sins and become mortal again by being a homicide detective. he fell in love with this mortal woman... and all of the vampires from his past tried to keep him from getting back his mortality. there was a lot more to the show, but those are the basics. it was canceled after three seasons which was a real shame. the show drew me in, but i think the ideas behind it that kept me there... we all aspire to be something we're not and we always have people trying to drag us down. it's faith that keeps us pushing or pulling or doing whatever we might have to do to get to where we want to be. do we succeed? not always.... but we can keep trying.

hey, they filmed the lost boys at my college. i've never seen it though, was going to with some people but then we didnt. it sounds cool though. they also filmed a movie called "glory daze" here which was horrible but stars ben affleck with a hilarious 80s mohawk thing, which i actually did see a few days ago. but it was worth it for the haircut.

um anyway. i can't get the cc radio thing to work, it says there's a server overload. i hope someone's computer crashes... mine does all the time, so someone else's should now so i can go listen :)

but i'm ok. i have gigolo aunts cds now. thank you jessica!!!

hi jessica,

i loved "forever knight." i have a thing about vampire shows/movies too. even though i am vampire phobic. i even used to sleep with a blanket tucked around my neck when i was little. (yeah, cause THAT would have stopped them. lol) did you watch that show that was on a couple years ago, i think it was called "kindred?" and it wasn't about vampires, but "american gothic" was another great show cancelled before it's time.

i watch too mu

thank you, that's al

kathy: you MUST see that movie. i watched it for the first time in fifth or sixth grade. i have memories of seeing it the first time... britt brought it over on video and we watched it. :) it's got a great gothic quality mixed with humor. i wrote a paper on it for english composition last quarter so i still have it in my head. lol

kristin: you loved forever knight too?! woo hoo! it still makes me happy to see geraint and nigel on tv... i rarely see any of the other actors on tv. i went to toronto specifically to see all of the sites from the show. i swear, there's no feeling like the mixture of weirdness/coolness when you're standing outside the toronto coroner's office, posing for a pic by the sign. you know they're all thinking, "damn crazy tourists!!" and i went to "nick's loft," actually a car mechanic's. where else did i go? hmm... the crash site from "black buddha" (i can't believe i remember this stuff), the road schanke wrecked the caddy on in "dark knight 1," the best one of all: the royal ontario museum in the exact place where nick and that chic kissed in "dark knight 1" (or was that 2?). umm... the beach grave site where vachon buried screed (i'm getting all sentimental! i miss those characters. haha)... i think that's all. oh! no... i also went to humber nurseries, the place they filmed one scene in "only the lonely." hehe, i highly doubt you were as obsessed as me...

erin: i turned off the email alerts. good idea i see... :)
