Update: Two explosions heard in New Jersey 4-alarm candle factory fire

Excerpts from AP report:

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - A raging, four-alarm fire visible for miles tore through a candle factory Monday evening, threatening nearby homes, sending plumes of choking smoke for miles and forcing the evacuation of about 10 families.

No injuries were reported, said Fire Chief James Langenbach

"I just went outside, and I heard two explosions," said Meg Batta, who was working in a Pathmark supermarket a block and a half from the fire. "There's heavy black smoke all over here. If the wind shifts, we might have to close."

Langenbach refused to comment on a possible cause for the blaze, but said it was under investigation.
