"According to the Masterkey, the (stock market correction) Is Just Getting Started.

I received an unsolicted financial newsletter in the mail called "Personal Finance," Stephen Leeb, Editor. I visited his website and found it interesting and informative. However, he made this one comment "According to the MasterKey, the mayhem is just getting started. Currently, the indicator is deeply negative, at -8.21"

I've never heard of this Masterkey indicator, can someone explain this? Thanks....

here's the website: http://www.tbpnewsletter.com/tbp/key2.html

The pin is OIL and the bubble will burst into flames, causing massive inflation. You don't need a masterkey. OIL is the key, OH can't you see.... THE CRUDE ONE is THE GREAT ONE.

Keep in mind the Arabs are still pissed off with the US for paying them in fiat money. They want yellow gold for their black gold.

Minutes prior to Friday's market close, bought two Feb S&P 1450 Puts. Watch the tumble...

Joseph - do you mind if I ask what are the mechanics of buying the puts i.e. can you use etrade? And how much are they? Say the snp dropped 200 points, what would you make?

I have no clue about stock indices, sorry. But it would seem a good one to do a call on would be the CRB, [commodities basket] -

I just spotted this on Kitco -

Goldteck (Don Wallenchuck Report) ID#432286:

This afternoon on T.V., the Stock Market Observer program on Channel 26, The U, out of Chicago, featured one of their regular market timers who also writes a newsletter. His name is Don Wallenchuck ( sp.? ) , and writes the Wallenchuck ( sp? ) Report. When asked what his forecasts were for the coming year ( I believe that was the time period ) , he said that after the Bank of England gold auctions are over, and the next 2 months of gold options expire, that gold will take off and he expects it to go right through $800 an ounce. He also said that commodity prices this year are going to skyrocket ( my words, can't remember his ) , oil is going higher, higher, higher, and interest rates are going to go up and keep going up. He said that all of these things are inevitable and there is nothing that anyone can do to stop them from happening. I can't remember his EXACT words, but, this is what he said, and he meant every word of it. The lady on the screen who is one of their regular interviewers ( she was talking with him on the phone ) , showed a smirk of disbelief as she ended the interview.

All this extremist crap about gold is tiring. Until people start buying it, its going nowhere.

I'm willing to bet this. The FED will raise interest rates 1/4% at their meeting in early February and the market will react with a huge buying spree because it wasn't raised 1/2%

Its the most idiotic thing I've ever seen. The market always explodes after the rate increase.

-- Guy Daley (guydaley@bwn.net), January 16, 2000.

GUY, i'm with you on this one. 1/4% factured in now. I think its a known fact the ecomony needs 1/2% to effect change in direction. IMHO Greenspan dosen't want to be solely responsible for an economic slide and the FED will wait for another trigger event before they make a move.

The Master key has been around for 6 or 7 years. At one time, it was included in the Big Picture advisory letter by Leeb. Leeb go into trouble with the CFTC for misleading advertising and had to remove the Master Key from his newsletter. He was also banned from appearing on CNBC at that time. I haven't kept with the situation in recent years, and don't know if the Master Key has been modified. It was originally intended for trading futures.

I am Gozer; you are the Keymaster ........

Thanks Dave for answering my question. I get his advertisements every once in a while to subscribe to his newsletter. I don't subscribe to anything, I just search the net and come here for info.
