on topic and off: sys update and kit resources

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

first, to follow up to an earlier post of mine - we have not had to go manual, but we have just enough glitches that it's like trying to run with a charlie horse. you just grit your teeth and hope it goes away soon.

second item - heath company used to sell a wonderful assortment of kits, but they no longer do so. does anyone know of another source of electronic or other kits?? i really enjoyed building a radio years ago, would really like to get back into it but don't know enough to start from scratch. any help/references would be much appreciated.

thanx

Check out your neighborhood PBS chanel's store, or a museum store if you are in a large enough city to have a large one of either.
