Beautiful background and lighting, excellent subject sharpness. Plenty of room to satisfy even the most ardent croppers!

Greg,

Simply put, this is a stunning image, nicely composed, and smooth, unclutered background. It's perfect in every way. I'd be interested in the technical details (equipment, exposure, etc.)

Another outstanding image this week!

thank you for the very generous comments- the technical details were: 300mm + 1.4x, sturdy tripod, provia shot at f7.1 and 1/30. i'm estimating the shutterspeed and fstop but i think that's pretty close. thanks again, greg

I love the earth tones in this image. I was expecting to see a typical hummer in flight with all sorts of irrdescent colors, but this is a unique view. Very well done.

I think the composition can be better. The branch occupies little bit too much space in the image, distracted the subject. How about cut 1/4 of the bottom off?
