Why would you want to donate your antibiotics right now? Unless the expiration dates are in the not too distant future and you don't want to see them go to waste, I suggest you hang on to them for the present.

Besides, unless I'm misinformed, I don't think you can donate medicines or food unless they're in pristine tamper-proof containers.

If you REALLY want to get rid of them, and they won't expire in the too distant future, or have expired just recently, you might consider donating them to your local wildlife rehabilitation facility. Your local Humane Society or Vet clinic would know where they are.

Many antibiotics will last up to 40 years in your freezer. Hold on to 'em!

Choirboy is mostly correct. Many antibiotics and other medicines will last a long time if frozen or kept in the refridge. An exception to this is tetracycalien (sp?) which will go bad. Other important meds that go bad include nitroglycerine for the heart. A good discussion of this is on www.healthcenteral.com that is run by Dr. Dean Edel on the radio. smfdoc

Call a homeless shelter in your nearest big city and find out who provides their free medical care. Send the antibiotics to that person in care of the homeless shelter's address. I am sure they will be able to use them; lots of infections, no insurance.
