So is this strain of flu the kind that the "flu shot" was supposed to prevent, or not? I've heard (on the news) it both ways. (I didnt take the shot, I'm not sick ...yet... but I am dosed up on herbals)

The following URL is for the CDC weekly flu report: http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/diseases/flu/weekly.htm It seems that the vast majority who are tested for the flu virus actually have something else. I don't know if this is consistent with historical patterns or if it indicates that new types of respiratory infections are emerging.
