I have come to the conclusion that I did not prep enough for y2k. My six month chocolate supply only lasted a week.

Silly, silly prepper. You have just eaten the eating chocolate portion. Standard rule of thumb is that an amount 10 times the eating chocolate is to be stored for "medicinal purposes."

THE RULES OF CHOCOLATE

If you've got melted chocolate all over your hands, you're eating it too slowly. Chocolate covered raisins, cherries, orange slices and strawberries all count as fruit, so eat as many as you want. The problem: How to get 2 pounds of chocolate home from the store in a hot car. The solution: Eat it in the parking lot. Diet tip: Eat a chocolate bar before each meal. It'll take the edge off your appetite, and you'll eat less. If calories are an issue, store your chocolate on top of the fridge. Calories are afraid of heights, and they will jump out of the chocolate to protect themselves.

If I eat equal amounts of dark chocolate and white chocolate, is that a balanced diet? Don't they actually counteract each other?

Money talks. Chocolate sings. Beautifully.

Chocolate has many preservatives. Preservatives make you look younger. Therefore, you need to eat more chocolate.

Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do today. That way, at least you'll get one thing done.

A nice box of chocolates can provide your total daily intake of calories in one place. Now, isn't that handy?

If you can't eat all your chocolate, it will keep in the freezer. But if you can't eat all your chocolate, what's wrong with you?

My Oreos were gone in 2 weeks and I havn't eaten Oreos in years. The question is now--should I get some more?

We have friends that are missionaries overseas, and they used to say that imported M&M's were better than the local currency. Think Alan Greenspan might decide to stop fiat money for a chocolate standard?

For those who have learned to buy in bulk to save money, I have two words for you ATFER SALES>

After Christmas you can get bulk Chocolate at pennies on the dollar. Make sure to get enough to last until Easter. After Easter you can get bulk Chocolate at pennies on the dollar. You have to wait until halloween to do it again, but chocolate does not seem to be as much a vital need in summer as it is in winter. (Probably due to being supplimented with ice cream) Make sure to hide the chocolate well as you wouldn't want the kids (who don't need it) to find it and deplete your supply.

Dang, Cherri, I think the doomers and pollies have finally found common ground -- chocolate! [passing round a tall pitcher of hot chocolate and a plate full of intensely chocolatey brownies to everyone in the forum, no matter where they stand on the issues]
