Salve omnes. I have siemens 100 watt pv that I intended to array and send off to a trace c40 controller. The problem is that I am in oly wa and need to get the pv array out about 100 feet from where the trace will be mounted (battery room). The trace install manual says 44 feet at 2 awg. Question is, what wiring arrangement will allow me to have the pv array 100 feet away? Do I need welding cable to carry from the pv to the trace c40? Can I individually wire the pv panels to 8 awg and then series connect 100 feet away just in front of the trace?
