greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I was reading Italian and Brazilian newspapers,no mention whatsoever of any problem of y2k . So everythingh is going smothly for My country and for Brazil. Italy was on the red list ......

I wonder if Clinton and Cnn are also very influential there .I guess they are so the world media is all togheter,THE BUG IS DEAD.....

So they think,I guess,I do not know but is it really dead????

Time will tell but I suspect that the medianare holding something or they really do not care about it....

Time will tell.

Hey Alex - don't you have friends or relatives that can give you some first hand eye-witness type reports? I think many if not most of the people at this forum would agree that the gov't reports and media are not 100% trustworthy or open (I am putting it mildy). The media not saying anything basically means that there haven't been any non- hideable screwups. Maybe some Brazilians or Italians ( or people from other countries) can be alerted to check in here with anything they see or have first hand knowledge of. I think only then can we really be sure that "nothing's happened." This seems to be one of the main reasons that people such as myself are going "What the....!!!": the seeming fact that countries that FOR SURE did not fix everything are doin' okay.... Let's hear from some of the residents of those countries....
