O.T. -> WorldNetDaily...what gives????

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Just curious...I have been reading World Net Daily for a yr. but have not visited for about a week. Went there today and not one Y2K word in any of the headlines! Used to be a couple articles per day and ads for products and such. Just wondered if anybody knows Mr. Farrah's take on things.

Thanks much. =)

He caught the next "bus".

The buses to the next crisis will be delayed due to a malfunction in computer that handles scheduling. This malfuntion is not Y2K related.

Haven't you heard? Y2K has been fixed! The war was won! It is now old and extremely stale news. It has been a week, after all. Society seems to have a flair for the dramatic (disaster movie syndrome, I guess) and since Y2K was anything but (so far) nobody cares anymore. That is, until something happens that affects them personally.

The realistic answer is that his editor doesn't want to hear it any more and won't let him write on it unless something truly dramatic happens that can be absolutely pinned on Y2K.

The shameful morons who run WorldNut daily have realized that Y2K doesn't have any legs. Or, perhaps because all of their militia member/Y2K survivalist/White Power advertisers went bust...

Tired....might be. So why are you here? No life?

Thanks for all the responses. I was just curious if Mr. Farah had made any statements post-y2k. I know his site was #1 for awhile, but looks like a lot of people come here now for the "News and Views" of the day. =)

I'm not a militia member, survivalist nor do I promote "white power". I DOOOOOO object to my government waging WAR upon private citizens as outlined in THIS story:

http://www.ashvilletribune.com/hage1.htm

I am certainly disturbed by most of President Pecker's executive orders like the one described in THIS article:

Many are sheeple and some are simply sheep shit, isn't that right 'Tired'?

Bravo, Will continue.

Some people don't like the news unless it comes in a baby food jar.

Sheeple shit. That's a keeper.

Yes, you *will continue*...to keep us smiling.

Isn't it obvious? World Net Daily was not covering Y2K because they were interested in reporting the news, they were using it as a political weapon to divide and conquer. All of the fear-mongering about executive orders and martial law never materialized, the gubmint somehow pulled it off according to plan, and trying to use the Y2K issue as a weapon anymore is simply a lost cause. They'll probably continue to try to sensationalize the Russian fear-mongering propaganda, or perhaps go digging for more dirt on candidates for the upcoming presidential election.

".... some are simply sheep shit ..."

Try saying that real fast, 10 times! = )
