OK, if we are gonna have proof that y2K is a problem, give us something more than these silly stories about a minor power outage in Cold Moose, Alaska. Having grown up in a rural area, it was not uncommon to have the power go out for an hour or so every couple of months! Tell me that you have all lived with uninterupted power service your whole lives. Now an entire grid going down, etc., that is news. Someone would have to explain that. These other things hardly worth a mention and wouldn;t get one if people weren't looking for TEOTWAWKI and I dare say in many of your cases HOPING FOR JUST THAT. A minor sensor malfunction is not likey to signal the end is near. If it is y2K related, then it is probably already fixed.

BESIDES that, most of these minor disturbances seem to be unsubstantiated. ANd furthermore, if the whole system were collapsing, SOMEONE, as vast as the numbers of employees are for power companies, businesses, etc. would have come out and said "the problem is worse than you are being led to beleive" and they would do so in a venue that would foster some semblance of credibility. I would venture to say that even an "unidentified gubnit" employee would do that.

So it's time to show us the goods and quit grasping at straws.

No group or individual with credibility, will be allowed to say other than what has been scripted. You know damn well that they have been lying about the extant of system malfunctions. It is up to you to seek the truth. There are many alternative news outlets and genuine journalist that are publishing the truth about what is happening. If your paycheck was supposed to be issued today and wasn't "due to computer errors", I would say "the action" would be starting for you. If you're on a bi-weekly check schedule, you may get your taste of action next week.

As far as the "big-time action" of fighting off those infamous spiked, purple-hair mutant yuppies. Let a few pay periods go by with more people missing their paychecks each period due to downward spiraling economic activity. Then you just might start seeing muties of numerous varieties popping up on a street near you.
