If parents can't be responsible for their own children, who will be? Is there a point where the parents' responsibility ends, where they can say, "This is too much?" What other types of responsibility are such a trap?--Al

i think parents have responsibility for children completely. if through a quirk of fate the child is unmanageable, then i think it is the responsibility of the parent to seek whatever help is necessary to deal with the problem. of course, when the child reaches their majority and goes out on their own, then the usual parental responsibility becomes, i think, the the ties that bind in any family relationship. but at that time i think legal responsibility should be assumed by the progeny.
