TACE Working Group

Anticipated Threshold Phenomena

The concensus among the group is that the first of the impacts seen at the broadcast level will be 'weasel words'. These will appear as qualifiers to reports of problems. These qualifiers will include accented 'most likely not' [y2k related/caused]. Or 'probably not' [y2k related].

This concensus has been seen to be accurate. The first of the 'weasel words' were being noted on day six at levels 3 and 4. Additional indicators predicted by the group are also reported nationwide. [editors note: this reference to a prediction that national, general, humor at adopted catch phrases would appear as a bonding attribute; a' la US Naval College projections.]

Therefore the CCS TACE working group sees that y2k is currently at a level 3 rising to 4.

Threshold Level Header Description

Note the term 'Official' indicates either a press release from government personnel, or elected official, or a public statement by either.

Witness indicates the capture of an incident on videotape and airing of that tape.

BTW: my personal guesstimate on the level 10 threshold event is Jan 23. Slightly over 80% of the group placed guesstimates betwen Jan 21 and Feb 3rd.

Not to disrespectful, but it sounds like the "working group" needs to lay off the Tumwater!

By this scale, we are already a '10' with respect to Y2k failures.

I'm referring to the press release about the spy satellite failure just after the rollover.
