what difference if problems are y2k or not??

computer problems are problems regardless of their source. and when they happen, they take their toll. so WHAT DIFFERENCE does it make if they are y2k or not??? like it really matters to the pollies or doomers. geeeeeeshhh!

all i know is .. during my past 12 yrs in IT, i've never read or heard of as many computer-related problems as i have in the past 6/9 months. and, its getting worse - which is a gross understatement.

yea i know ... just better reporting. just like the increase in frequency and intensity of storms during the past decade is 'better reporting'. oh man .. does it drive me up a wall when i hear that one!

some people wont admit the severity of the *world situation* until they get slammed over the head. and even then, many wont truly 'get it'.

seems to me that pollies are so wrapped up in celebrating their 'victory', they've forgotten what most experts keeps saying - its a LONGTERM problem.

remember guys .. y2k is just *ONE* of many straws thats on the camels back. add it in with an unstable world economy, unstable governments, unstable weather, and God only knows what the result will be.

and I am sure that in your 12 year illustrious career working with computers you have not noticed that the percentages of humans that are using computers has increased along with just the sheer numbers. duh
